Set among the grounds of leafy Park Orchards Primary School, this is a small local Farmers’ Market that has been running for a number of years supported by the Park Orchards Lions Club.
The day I visited there were around 25 stalls that sold:
- Fresh Fruit & Veggies
- Cut flowers
- Bread and baked goods
- Jams, preserves and honey
- Cakes and biscuits
- Olive oil
- Peanut butter
- Nuts and seeds
Produce doesn’t get much better than this corn (pictured above). I bought two cobs and steamed them up for dinner served with fresh butter. Heaven. Robinvale Estate are based just outside of Mildura and make a large (and colourful) selection of olive oils and dressings. You can find more information about them here.
Recommend you bring your own bag or trolley along so plastic bags don’t have to be used. Also try to bring smaller notes. We all know that the ATM’s dispense $50’s and stall holders are prepared for that but when so many people turn up with larger notes it becomes problematic for them.
