Queenscliff Community Market

Tagged: , , , ,
I was fortunate to be at the Queenscliff Community Market during the Music Festival on a beautiful spring day. Started in 1975, the atmosphere was electric with that sense of community, fun, music and good food making it a special day. The market can have up to 190 stalls with most being locals selling their high quality wares, handcrafts, home baking, pottery, olive oil, jewellery, fresh produce, clothes and more. Not far from the picturesque Princess Park, right near the water’s edge, this market is a must visit if you’re here on the last Sunday of the month. It’s flat, grassy and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

As always I’d recommend you bring your own bag or trolley along so plastic bags don’t have to be used. Also try to bring smaller notes. We all know that the ATM’s dispense $50’s and stall holders are prepared for that but when so many people turn up with larger notes it becomes problematic for them.

STALLHOLDERS: If you’d like to have a stall at the market, please call 0408 340 932 and leave a message.
