Salvos Op Shop – Ocean Grove

Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Ocean Grove has an abundance of Op Shops, six in total and they are all very different. This one is a little out-of-town but as there is a Vinnie’s in the same street – it’s a bonus (although it has different opening and closing times). The prices are reasonable unlike some of the Melbourne based Salvo Stores that can sometimes charge more for a secondhand item than what it would be to buy it new.

You can see from the photo (right) that it’s big and the roller door stores even more stock, sometimes it’s where the staff sort through donations, other times it has actual stock for sale to the public.

The store is expansive in an industrial estate. It has a large amount of stock and it’s fairly well laid out. Sometimes I come here and it feels like there is just junk and other days its fabulous. Their turnover of stock is very good which keeps my coming back. They do take large items of furniture but it goes out usually as quick as it comes in.

Nice little kids corner

You should take your time to explore the store as there is alot of stock and some if it is hidden away amongst all the ‘stuff’. The books are priced well and so are the kitchen items.
