The Vestry Op Shop – Queenscliff

Tagged: , , , , , , , , , ,

I do love this little Op Shop for so many reasons. Firstly, the volunteers who staff it are delightful. They are often senior people who are connected with the Uniting Church which the Op Shop is attached to.

Secondly, it’s small but has high quality goods that are well displayed and priced. Thirdly, it has a lovely vibe and feel – authentic and local.

Chatting to the staff is a delight as they are always friendly and sometimes we share stories and anecdotes about what it’s like to love Op Shopping.

What I love even more is that this Church is very active within the community. Both times I’ve visited they’ve had an extra stall out the back for even more items plus the choir was singing and there was a lovely Devonshire tea style food available. The Church’s connection with refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and indigenous people is obvious and they work with these groups often.

Just across the road from this Op Shop are two secondhand shops that are also worthwhile visiting and I have reviewed them as well – one is The Old Church Vintage Wares and Collectables and the other is Remarketable.
