Nook Vintage Warehouse – Clifton Hill

Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Nook Vintage in Johnston Street Fitzroy has this other outlet in Clifton Hill. It accommodates those larger pieces as well as having its own unique style with its wares.

The Warehouse is hidden down a little laneway just behind Queens Parade. Packed to the roof with amazing treasures this place will rock your socks off!

The beauty of returning every month is that there is something new I spy even though it may have been there a month before, it’s been placed elsewhere in the Warehouse or has been displayed differently. That’s what makes this place so special.

Owners Rachel and Gary are so gorgeous and friendly, eager to help out if you’re looking for something special. With this fabulous massive warehouse that is over 250 metres of vintage / retro / industrial heaven you are bound to find something.

I’ve seen these old mattress springs on hard rubbish and reckon I could use this as either a trellis for my tomatoes or even better, as a noticeboard for old vintage photos of my family.

If you’re a stylist you’ll be pleased to learn that most of the Nook Vintage stock can be hired which is good for TV shows, Movies and more recently a local band had their album cover photo taken here.

These boxes are fabulous for storage – stay away from the IKEA and get something a little different. You can also ask about the history of something you like because for me that’s what makes my purchases so interesting.

Every few months the Warehouse has a delivery of eclectic items from around the country and they are then either sent off to Nook in Johnston Street or they stay here. Not sure how long before they open another store because the quality of their goods is excellent.

Children are welcome in the store but make sure they are careful around some of the more delicate items OR some items are stacked or racked and a good bump and there might be a tumble of for example glassware.
