The Warrandyte Lions Club Opportunity Shop is located smack in the centre of town and therefore, attracts a lot of locals and tourists, particularly over the weekend.
Although the store isn’t large, it’s well laid out and there is plenty of stock to sift through. All clothes appear to be clean, well hung and put in size order which works for me.
There isn’t a lot of baby clothes or toys here and I would day this Op Shop caters more to the people who flock to Warrandyte on the weekends to be by the Yarra River, eat at the cafes and so on.
There are a few shelves of secondhand items include kitchen ware, ornaments, glassware, bric-a-brac and so on. There is a shelf that has linen and manchester and a few shelves with shoes.
There is a good-sized changing room to try on clothes and on the day I visited my friend Tilly found a lovely skirt for $4. However, not everything is that cheap. I’ve often found things to be at a higher price than say the Rotary Op Shop.
I did however, come across some designer labels and they were at a reasonable price. So it’s worth a good little scrounge through here to find that piece of treasure you’re after.
