Found myself back in MacLeod, a gorgeous little suburb that isn’t on the main roads so is nestled around larger postcodes. But don’t get me wrong, this place is gorgeous with a strip of shops that pretty much cater for all your needs. Plus it has two Op Shops – so it’s gotta be good right!
DVCS is managed by a committed and skilled group of volunteers many of whom reside in the local community. The Volunteer staff who interview clients are fully trained and accredited in provision in community information. This course is recognised nationally. This Op Shop is run by the Diamond Valley community Support organisation which is an independent not-for-profit organisation that provides direct aid, assistance, support and information for the people of Greensborough and surrounding areas. DVCS has been supporting the local community since 1972 with funds raised to help support the programs and services of the community.
I look at this mannequin above and want to sing “isn’t you lovely….isn’t she wonderful….” by Stevie Wonder.
The store is very well laid out with excellent lighting and big enough you can bring a pram in.
There was one lady behind the counter who was engaged in a long and beautiful conversation, being polite and friendly and listening to a very senior woman.
Probably one of the most appealing things about this shop is it’s window display. Fun, themed for Mother’s Day and not too cluttered, I was instantly attracted to it.
