How did this little gem of a market pass me by, especially as it’s so close to home. The Heide Makers’ Market is a collaboration between two well-loved Melbourne institutions – Heide Museum of Modern Art and The Rose St. Artists’ Market.
Set in the picturesque surrounds of the Heide Museum of Modern Art sculpture park, Heide Makers’ Market is the perfect space for those who are creative and a little different in their wares to share with people from Melbourne, Victoria and the world. (more…)
This tiny little Op Shop in MacLeod hasn’t been open long but does need some love and care. There is another Op Shop further down which is larger, lighter, brighter and more organised which really puts this one to shame.
Which is a little sad because their cause dedicated to supporting the local community through the provision of services that meet the short-term needs of people, producing long-term results is worthwhile.
This is another one of those Op Shops that I pass every week day and along with the Red Cross one about 100m away, I took the time to go inside and explore.
This Salvo store is in the main street so you can hardly miss it, especially with all the red donation bins out the front.
Antique and Vintage shopping doesn’t get much better than this when two stores of the same name are located only 150m apart in the same street.
Filled with art deco, industrial furniture, antiques, curious, decorative items, quirky and eclectic wares and of course, the ever quirky pieces like the lioness leaping in a full glass cabinet.
